ROBERT KYTE

Born in DC, raised in Louisiana, and trained in the mountains: I’m a writer, photographer, climber, skier, and guide based in Lake Tahoe, CA.

As a storyteller and guide, I seek to share my experiences, uplift voices in the community and facilitate profound and enriching outdoor experiences for others so that they, too, might foster motivation for environmental conservation and stewardship.

My work is centered around climbing and exploration photojournalism. I conduct interviews and write stories for community leaders and expedition organizers worldwide who are working to grow the global climbing community into a more representative and inclusive space for all who call themselves a climber.
